I always knew it was you.

Be it the day when I first caught your glimpses and shrugged off your thoughts with "just a newcomer" or the day when I actually noticed the sincere, intelligent, calm and composed person within you, I always knew it was you.

Be it the day when we argued on something silly or the day when the teacher scolded us for fighting deliberately, I always knew it was you.

Be it the day you annoyed the hell out of me or the day when your absence made my day a little incomplete, I always knew it was you.

Be it the day when unknowingly my eyes started searching for you or the day when we stole glances, I always knew it was you.

Be it the day when we accidentally bumped into each other and couldn't stop blushing all the while or the day when we talked gladly and exchanged smiles, I always knew it was you.

Be it the day when everyone around us knew what we were up to, nevertheless we denied our feelings or the day when we wanted to confess our emotions yet remained quiet, I always knew it was you.

Be it the day when life started happening and our paths became different or the day when we craved to speak our heart out before we drifted apart, I always knew it was you.

Be it the day when we took different roads to our dreams, travelled, explored or the day when dreams did get fulfilled yet there was no happiness, I always knew it was you.

Be it the day when the memories of the past came rushing or the day when I couldn't hold back my tears with those memoirs, I always knew it was you.

Be it the day when destiny tried to play cupid again and we stumbled on each other one more time or the day when we finally realized that we cannot just let go each other, I always knew it was you.

Be it the times when you irritated me with your insecurity or the time when I longed for someone to be scared of losing me, I always knew it was you.

Be it the day when after years of unfinished tales of romance, we ended up falling in love or the day when we exchanged vows for eternity, I always knew it was you.

Yes. I always knew it was you who was to be inked as my soul mate in the love chronicle penned by the destiny itself.

At times, while we are oblivious of our future, deep down our heart knows who our soul mate is and when we come across him/her; our heart skips a beat and whispers "I always knew it was you".

I shall be gone!

Someday I shall be gone, people who love me might miss me, cry over me too but, time has a way of making people forget everything. Maybe this is how life is meant to be. Life goes on, remember? The very thought that someday I shall become just a distant memory scares me. The memories of my presence shall be blurred, lying in the corner of laptop, mobile folders or maybe in the recycle bins too. And, this feels terrible.

I wonder if I shall be more than just a distant memory for anyone? I hope, I shall be. Because, I want to be remembered. I want to be cherished. And, someday, few years down the line when I pass through anyone's memory, I hope they think about me with a smile, a genuine one. :)

Neither I reminiscence in past nor, I worry about the future 'cause past is gone, never to return and future is in the realms of uncertainity. "Present", that is the place I belong to. Living every moment to its fullest. I know, eventually, this too shall pass but, I won't have regrets 'cause I lived it and loved it too." :) :) :)
