Impress me not.

Still-Life, Blueberries And Cream, Table Setting
Impress me not with numerous expensive gifts,
But with a rose plucked spontaneously in a swift.
Impress me not by quoting John Keats and Shakespeare,
But with a poem inked by you, inhibiting all your fear.
Impress me not by praising my beauty,
But with sharing my dreams and aspirations beneath the starry sky of the city.
Impress me not with a high end date,
But with a random rendezvous with books where you read me stories I wish to listen and can't wait.
Impress me not with the cliche "I love you" and mushy talk,
But with your vulnerable thoughts while we take a walk.
Impress me not with the promises of happily ever after,
But with accepting the reality of having our share of pain, despair, happiness and laughter.
Impress me not!

Scars are beautiful.

The chronicals of survival are best depicted through scars. It has profound stories of pain, tears, struggles and fights engraved deeply within us which springs up in our memories once in a while, reminding us of all the bad times, how we battled them out and our sheer courage that carved the beautiful destination of life out of a journey that seemed nothing less than a dead end.

Scars are beautiful because it shows the undying spirit of every survivor who refused to give up on life and fought till the end. 🙋☺

Beyond Beauty!

"You look beautiful". A compliment she used to get every now and then.

"Thank you". She would respond gracefully with a smile which was beautiful yet brief.

Everyone loves compliments. She wasn't any different but, with time the need of being known as a person and not someone who was just "beautiful" had started haunting her. She craved for a life that was beyond the typical standards of beauty.

"Did anyone tell you that your eyes speak a lot"? A guy sitting next to her in the coffee shop said.

"Excuse me"? She was startled.

"I am sorry but, you cannot be excused. Your eyes speak volumes. I guess you have lots of stories that need to be voiced".

And, there she was, speaking her heart out in a random rendezvous with a stranger who now was a passionate listener. Someone who wanted to hear how she felt and was least bothered about how she "looked".

Beautiful paradox.

All her life she inked and recited the tales of love, hope, happiness, sadness and despair to the world that would get lost in her profoundness. Her stories had that illusive effect, helping people escape reality for a while. She read, she wrote, she imagined, she created. She carved stories that could break one's heart yet heal it at the same time. She was nothing short of a magician who could cast spell with her enchanting stories.

But, the magician of profound emotions, intricate words and beautifully heart wrenching stories couldn't ink a single word when it was time to talk about her story. The story of her love, her life and everything that made her such an amazingly beautiful paradox could never be created. Wondering why?

Well, she was a storyteller who knew every story has an end. And, how could she pen her own story when all that she wanted in her love and life was "forever".

Her reality was different from the stories she inked. A beautiful paradox she was, didn't I tell you?

Beautiful Tragedy.

Her eyes had millions of stories which remained confined within the boundaries of her heart for years.

Little did she know that someone out there was craving to read those stories and understand the beautiful tragedy she was! :) <3
