Sunsets.

And, if at all, you ever bid me adieu, do it at the sunset. For, I will be happy in the delusion of finding you again amidst a sunset, someday. After all, sunsets give hope of a new day, new life, don't they?

Till then, I will look for you in every sunset, believing that somewhere in another corner of the world, you are doing the same.

High on dreams.

And, someday, after years of melancholy, I will find you somewhere standing on that road again, where we had parted ways and drifted to never come back. You would be smiling and so would I - and, suddenly, all those years of bitterness would melt while we look at the sunset and share comfortable silences. For, that's how it was meant to be, always.

Impress me not.

Still-Life, Blueberries And Cream, Table Setting
Impress me not with numerous expensive gifts,
But with a rose plucked spontaneously in a swift.
Impress me not by quoting John Keats and Shakespeare,
But with a poem inked by you, inhibiting all your fear.
Impress me not by praising my beauty,
But with sharing my dreams and aspirations beneath the starry sky of the city.
Impress me not with a high end date,
But with a random rendezvous with books where you read me stories I wish to listen and can't wait.
Impress me not with the cliche "I love you" and mushy talk,
But with your vulnerable thoughts while we take a walk.
Impress me not with the promises of happily ever after,
But with accepting the reality of having our share of pain, despair, happiness and laughter.
Impress me not!

Written yet unsaid.

The only thing I'd leave unsaid is your memory that inks its way in my proses and poems, draped in fiction, carved out of profoundness. I wish, when someday you come across the emotions I inked and find a piece of yourself in every word that was written yet left unsaid, nostalgia hits you hard where it hurts the most, the heart!

Rain, books and coffee.

It was one of those rainy days when solitude was all she wished to seek, where she could unwind herself midst the rhythm of raindrops. And, her idea of solace was nothing short of a magical journey which found its destination in the profoundness of the withered pages of her favourite books.
A little drenched in rain, she took a brief walk down the book cafe. Her eyes gleamed with happiness as she stood there for a while, admiring the beauty of the book cafe carved intricately from woods with a tinge of vintage effect to it. This was her happy place where life embraced her with open arms. It seemed as if she had always been here, wandering past the book shelfs, inhaling the fragnance of the books, falling in love with stories in the process of reading, creating memories dipped in happiness and melancholy, inking thoughts over a cup of coffee and enjoying her solitude to the core.
She was meant to be here for, a bibliophile was about to fall in love with someone other than book characters.
Unaware of the unprecedented events that was about to happen, she ordered her usual Cappuccino and took out her favourite book "The fault in our stars". She was reading it for the umpteenth time yet, never had enough of it. On days like this, the pratogonists "Augustus Waters and Hazel Grace" used to be her companions of solitude. Their love story broke her heart yet healed it at the same time for, she was everything made up of paradoxes, contradictions, metaphors and profoundness.
Lost in the warmth of the Cappuccino and her book, she kept reading it, embracing every emotion inked on its withered pages. Once in a while, she tucked her hair coming in between the beautifully carved words. And, this was the time cupid came knocking.

"The world is not a wish granting factory, my friend".
She was happily startled by this sudden interruption for, there stood a guy who just quoted her favourite sentence from the book she absolutely loved.

"Tfios fan?" She chuckled while calming her nerves.

"Any doubt? afterall, the pain demands to be felt, doesn't it?" He smiled while taking his seat opposite to her.

"Indeed, it does". She reciprocated while trying not to get lost in his deep, enchanting eyes.

"I might fail miserably in my attempt of not sounding creepy but, I have been observing you from the moment you entered in the cafe". His tone was mild yet firm.

"Is that so? I didn't realise". She was startled again.

"More than the rain, you seemed drenched in your thoughts and, your melonchalic expressions while experiencing heart break at the hands of a paperback melted my heart a little too much". He confessed as the cupid hit him hard.

"I just love Tfios a little too much. It is tragically beautiful". She smiled conciously.

"So, who is your favourite? Augustus or Hazel?" The Tfios fan within him was eager to know.

"Hazel is a sweetheart but, I love Augustus more". She confessed.

"I heart Hazel Grace though, I am yet to find someone as profound as her in real life". He looked in her eyes dropping obvious hints.

"I haven't found my Augustus either". She knew the wait was over.

"I won't mind being your Augustus if you promise to be my Hazel Grace". He always wore his heart on sleeves.

"I hope our stars won't have any faults". Her heart was overwhelmed.

That day, the book cafe witnessed a love story inked from the mutual love of books, emotions, thoughts and memories. It's said, a lot can happen over coffee; little does the world know that a lot can happen over books too.
Rain, coffee, books and two bibliophiles lost in the infinite memoirs of Tfios, could there be a love story better than this? Never ever.

Pizza is love.

Alone, directionless and lost.

She woke up to the chaos of life, staring blankly outside the window for hours.

Suddenly, her eyes gleamed a little and a smile replaced her usual frown as she rushed outside.

Her box of happiness opened as her taste buds got the treat of her favourite "Double cheese crunch pizza".

The nearby pizza shop gave her the happiness that people around her couldn't.

Beautiful paradox.

All her life she inked and recited the tales of love, hope, happiness, sadness and despair to the world that would get lost in her profoundness. Her stories had that illusive effect, helping people escape reality for a while. She read, she wrote, she imagined, she created. She carved stories that could break one's heart yet heal it at the same time. She was nothing short of a magician who could cast spell with her enchanting stories.

But, the magician of profound emotions, intricate words and beautifully heart wrenching stories couldn't ink a single word when it was time to talk about her story. The story of her love, her life and everything that made her such an amazingly beautiful paradox could never be created. Wondering why?

Well, she was a storyteller who knew every story has an end. And, how could she pen her own story when all that she wanted in her love and life was "forever".

Her reality was different from the stories she inked. A beautiful paradox she was, didn't I tell you?

Being judgemental.

I am not judgmental. I know there is a reason why a particular person behaves in a certain way. I believe that unless I know their story, I am nobody to judge them. I have heard people saying that how much they hate a particular person and I have always said them ‘HATE IS A BIG WORD’. You can dislike someone but, you should not hate.

But, at times I feel as if I am contradicting my own thoughts. I tend to dislike people easily. I feel bad when a person doesn't smile back at me. I ignore that maybe he/she had a bad day. I get hurt if someone doesn’t reply me back. I fail to understand that maybe he/she is actually busy. I hate certain people [Yes, hate is a big word!] just because we don’t get along very well. I get judgmental towards a person ‘cause once I had a fight with him/her. I was the one who stopped talking to them in the first place and still I consider them as egoistic. [Irony!]

I know, I am not the only one. Everyone reading this post has been there and done that. We often contradict our own thoughts and beliefs, don’t we?

We can judge people but, we get furious if others do the same. This is so not fair.

Ever thought of having a heart to heart talk with the one you don’t get along well?

Ever thought of initiating a conversation with the one you stopped talking?

Well, I did that today and I was happily surprised that how wrong my judgement was. I realized that the person I had a fight with doesn't hold any grudges against me. That fight has long been forgotten. It existed just in my head. I realized that the person I don’t get along well has so much to talk with me. We have so much in common. I realized that the hate and dislike was not mutual. It was just one sided. [Evil me!]

I feel relieved today. Hatred is a burden whereas friendship, understanding and love sets you free from this burden.
It’s said that ‘To err is human’ but learning from those mistakes is also all about being humane! :)

Remember, hating is easy but, loving is way more easier. ^_^

Falling in love, Again!

"Arpita, Come here! The water is so beautiful here".

This voice brought Arpita back from her cluster of thoughts. It was his husband Mohit's voice who was standing by the seashore. Arpita moved towards him and Mohit held her hand tightly, intertwining his fingers with hers.

"Isn't the water beautiful here"? Mohit asked pulling her closer.

"Yeah! It is". Arpita nodded in affirmation with a smile.

The water in the sea were moving in a rhythm, creating a musical sound which was very serene and beautiful. The winds, it seemed were in love with the sea shore. The amiable wind was playing with Arpita's hair. She tried putting her hair strands behind the ear but the breeze kept teasing her. Mohit was observing this from a long time. He took Arpita's hand and said..

"These hair strands coming on your face is adding more glow to your beauty. Don't disturb them". Mohit moved his hands on her soft cheeks and Arpita felt his love all over again.

They had been married for almost 4 years now and Mohit had been a wonderful husband. He adored Arpita.

"Hey! Wait, hold on."Mohit said suddenly.

"What, why"?? Arpita asked in a confused tone.

"Ohh, stupid! Just hold on this look, I want to capture this moment, you look so beauitiful right now". Mohit said in excitement.

He clicked a few pictures of his gorgeous wife and was busy deciding that which picture was the best amongst all. He loved clicking pictures. For him they were memories. Memories of the moments which could never come back. He wanted to capture those moments so that he could re-live those moments whenever he wanted.

"Arpita, you look the best in this. These hair falling on your face, your eyes and this smile. You look splendid". Mohit said pointing towards a particular picture.

Arpita looked in Mohit's eyes. They had so much of love and appreciation in them. But she couldn't look up in his eyes anymore because those eyes full of love reminded her of  "Rahul". The guy she used to love. They both loved each other but as destiny would have it, they could not be together and moved on without having any bitter feelings for each other. Time moved on but their feelings never died.Though Arpita got married to Mohit but a corner of her heart still remembered Rahul. She was happy with Mohit. She never tried keeping in touch with Rahul. She knew he had his own world now but whenever she saw in Mohit's eyes, the love in those eyes reminded of the same love that once Rahul used to have for her. It was a very strange kind of feeling. She could never understand this. She remembered how Rahul also used to click her random pictures and then keep talking about it all the time. She wondered how two different persons can think exactly in the same manner. But she could never get any answers. Maybe it was destiny's way of showing her that "Rahul was gone but he has left behind his essence in form of Mohit".

When there can be 7 people with the same faces and appearance in the world then why can't there be people with the exactly same nature and behaviour??

"Arpita, you seem lost again. C'mon." Mohit again interrupted her thought process.

Arpita shrugged off those thoughts and held Mohit tightly. She knew how lucky she was to get love again in her life. The sky was turning crimson. It was time to go back. Mohit and Arpita moved towards their destination and Arpita just hoped and wished that Rahul, wherever he was would be happy in his life. :)

"SCREENSHOTS" - A short story.

Over the years, she had developed a habit of taking screenshots of profound, beautiful conversations she had with him. The love of her life.

"Why do you need to take screenshot of everything, Love. Aren't photographs enough?" He used to ask.

"I am collecting our memories. Everyone keeps photographs. I want to remember our conversations too". She would reply with the cutest smile.

"We are going to have a beautiful forever together. And, every day of our life would be so beautiful that you won't get time to look back at old memories". He said with all the love he had for her.

"Oh! The guy in this conversation is so cute. I want to meet him". A middle aged man, with patches of grey and white hair, his eyes shining behind the spectacles said in an excited yet kiddish tone.

"This is that guy". She pointed towards the huge antique mirror which showed his reflection.

"Are you kidding me? How can that guy be me? I don't even know you." He was annoyed.

"Hahaha! You caught me! Isn't it funny? Oh god! I am so funny!!" She acted laughing as loud as she could and he innocently joined her in.

She looked at him with eyes wet with emotions. The guy she married 25 years back did not remember her at all. The disease dementia has taken his memory away.

"Why don't you show him your photographs with him?" Her friends and family would advice.

"Those photographs would only confuse and torture him and, that is way too much for an innocent mind to handle and, I can't afford to put him through all that mental pain. I love him too much to do that to him". She would reply bluntly. Love has a way of making people honest towards their feelings.

Dementia failed to take her love for him away, it could not take their memories away from her because if it is meant to be forever, it shall be forever. No matter come what may. He had forgotten her but, he still loved to read those screenshots of conversations. Maybe he didn't realise but somewhere his heart knew that he was a part of these profound conversations. And, she was perfectly happy with the little joy those screenshots brought in their lives. <3

Emotions that never got inked!

She was looking blankly at the laptop screen. The mind which had embedded enormous thoughts into beautiful proses, poetry and stories, couldn't type a word.

It seemed as if her words had sinked to oblivion.

"I exist in every piece of your writing. Had I not been here, you would never write". He had once profoundly remarked."

That day she did not have any answer but, today she realised how true his words were. He was gone and her emotions never got inked again!

Destined to be apart!

Why do two paths meet if it isn't meant to reach its destination? Why does God need to complicate our lives with this feeling called 'Love'. We are better off without love and relationships 'cause people can deal with the feeling of being alone by choice but, loneliness of broken relationships hurt a bit too much, doesn't it?

Once upon a time!

"Once upon a time". . <3 [Memoirs of a love story]. .

This story is about the girl I had always loved and I always will. The girl I saw on the first day of std VIIIth. The cute, nervous girl clutching her school bag, her big brown eyes searching the way through class. The shy, timid face trying to avoid the gazes of many which of course were fixed on her 'cause she was a pretty new entrant in the school. I so wished she would talk to me and I wonder if God was in a perfect mood that day 'cause she actually did come to me.

"Hey! Could you please tell me the way through VIII-C"?

Her voice sweet and mild. I got lost somewhere but, somehow I managed to keep calm amidst the choice my heart was creating and showed her the way through the class.
And, in those five beautiful minutes as I walked her through the corridor, I realized what love at first sight is.

"Thank you so much".

I got to hear her sweet voice again as soon as we reached class. I swear, I could have died out of happiness that time but, I preferred to walking with her in the classroom rather than dying.

"Wait, why are you coming after me"? My walk was interrupted by her sudden question.

"That's because I happen to be your classmate, fortunately." I emphasized on the word fortunately to give her a lil' hint about my crush on her.

"Oh! Well. I am sorry. It's my first day at school so I am a lil' paranoid".

I could hear that sweet voice again. I couldn't get more lucky.

"You don't need to be paranoid till I am with you, okay?" :)

"Okay"! :)

And the smile that initiated that day continues till now. It's been 8 years now and eventually she did fall in love with me. Hey girl, are you listening? I STILL LOVE YOU!!!!!! <3 <3

- A guy hopelessly hopeless in love with you. :* <3

P.S : Spread love, create love stories and let us ink our emotions soaked in the spirit of love. . ^_^ <3
